MUET is an abbreviation for Mufindi Environmental Trust. MUET was established in 1998 and registered in 1999 under the Ministry of Home Affairs. Its head offices are in Mafinga town Mufindi District in Iringa region Tanzania East Africa.
MUET deals with environmental issues specifically encouraging private people to plant own trees, updating catchment areas, campaigning against wild fires to communities sorrounding the national and private forests and educate people on HIV and AIDS in Mufindi district and Iringa region as whole.
MUET is running environmental projects such as advocacy and lobbying on the rise of stumpage prices in the Sao Hill national forest,updating catchment areas in Mufindi district, also campaigns against wild fires and project on HIV and AIDS named "empowering communities to fight against HIV/AIDS through rights" this is delivered by a methodology known as STAR (Societies Tackling AIDS through Rights) to mention but few.
